Crochet Pattern – Quick and Easy Tote

This is a stylish tote bag that you can make in no time at all.

Skill Level:
Beginner

Materials:
200 yards of super-bulky weight yarn in Color 1
50 yards of super-bulky weight yard in Color 2
Crochet hook N/10mm
Yarn needle

Gauge:
6sc = 3″
4 rows = 2″

Bag Pattern:

  1. Color 1 – ch2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook, place marker = 6 sc
  2. 2 sc in each sc around= 12 s
  3. (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) around= 18 sc
  4. (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 2 sc) around= 24 sc
  5. (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc) around= 30 sc
  6. (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 4 sc) around= 36 sc
  7. (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc) around= 42 sc
  8. (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc) around= 48 sc
  9. (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 7 sc) around= 54 sc
  10. (2 sc in next sc, sc in next 8 sc) around= 60 sc
  11. 30: sc in each sc around= 60 sc
  12. Finish off

Strap Pattern:

  1. Color 2 – ch 4, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across= 3 sc
  2. Row 2 – 110: ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across= 3 sc (can be adjusted for desired length
  3. Finish off
  4. Sew strap ends to the inside of the bag using Color 1
